Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan's Bridges: Nishida Bridge across the Kotsuki River

September 2013 (31.5886 Degrees, 130.5451 Degrees) Nishida Bridge
The next bridge upstream on the Kotsuki River is a single span box girder bridge with scalloped exterior girders. The new Nishida Bridge is where the old bridge that was damaged by the 1993 flood was located. Consequently, it is surrounded by plaques commemorating this natural disaster. The Japanese are good at putting up reminders of where floods, earthquakes, and tsunami have occurred.
