Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan's Bridges: Sports Arena Bridge across the Kotsuki River

September 2013 (31.6020 Degrees, 130.5377 Degrees) Sports Arena Bridge
Today's bridge is next to Kagoshima's Sports Arena and so it's extra fancy. Its a two simple span precast I girder bridge (with facades hiding the exterior girders) supported on a rounded pier wall and seat type abutments.
The posts supporting the barrier rail have bas relief sculptures of athletes in competitions.
The bastions over the pier have sculptures of beautiful women athletes.
The ends of the bridge are decorated with stone symbols for the sports arena.
