Tokyo, Japan's Bridges: Maruhachi (丸八橋) Bridge across the Onagi Gawa

March 2012 (35.686 Degrees, 139.836 Degrees) Sunajima Bashi
Continuing to paddle east on the Onagi Canal.  We were supposed to come to the Sunajima Bashi (砂島橋), a unique pedestrian bridge with a beautiful deck, but I don't seem to have taken a good photo of it. The next bridge after the POC is the Maruhachi; a five span roadway bridge built in 1972 with a steel box girder superstructure on two column bents. It carries Route 476 (the Maruhachi Dori) across the Onagi Canal next to a shrine (the Ōjima-Inari-Jinja 大島稲荷神社).
