San Mateo County, California Bridges: Ryder Park Bridge across San Mateo Creek (1)

We are crossing the Bay from Alameda to San Mateo County (leaving a few interesting bridges un-photographed for now). San Mateo is along the Pacific Coast between San Francisco and Santa Cruz Counties (see map below) and has many interesting bridges. 

Today's bridge is a pedestrian arch in Ryder Park along San Francisco Bay. It's remarkable when a bridge's railings are more dramatic than it's arch. The transmission towers add even more visual excitement to this bridge site. We'll take closer look at this bridge tomorrow.
