May 2010 (38.58000 Degrees, -121.50667 Degrees) M Street Bridge |
The 'I' Street bridge was built in 1934 (by George Pollock and Company) and placed in the National Register of Historical Places in 1982. It provides only 14 ft vertical clearance and has a sufficiency rating of only 56%. Fortunately, there are several other nearby crossings over the Sacramento River.
I was wondering if Yolo and Sacramento County shared the upkeep on this bridge, but it is apparently on State Route 275 and maintained by Caltrans.
