I thought we could take a short break from Japan and travel to Hawaii. We are in Hilo, a small city on the east coast of the big Island of Hawaii that is frequently buffeted by tsunami.

This is an interesting pedestrian bridge that crosses Waiakea Pond in Wiloa State Park. We'll take a closer look at it tomorrow.
