March 2011 (-33.822 deg., 151.089 deg.) Meadowbank Bridges
Six hundred yards upstream from the Ryde Bridges are the two Meadowbank Bridges.
Bridges have a tendency to crowd together since a single right-of-way can be shared by several lifelines. Parallel bridges aren't attractive since they create a discordant appearance when they're a few feet apart. However, the two Meadowbank bridges (a footbridge and a railway bridge) don't look that bad together, maybe because they are both a little odd. We'll take a closer look at them tomorrow. |
