August 2003 (42.575 Degrees, -83.245 Degrees) Tamarack Way Bridge |
Just downstream from the Trellis Bridge is a closed spandrel arch bridge designed in the slightly wide and flattened style of Frank Lloyd Wright. This little bridge has four horizontal indentations near the base, little squares (formwork bolts?) along the top, four horizontal rails above the concrete barriers, and squat pedestals on the deck. It's a nice, clean design, with the minimum of decoration to give a modern, classical look. I don't know anything about who designed it, but it certainly is in the Cranbrook architectural style.
